WP Leads

Steven Bradshaw of KissWebMedia came to us wanting a Bespoke Lead Capture WordPress Plugin that he could offer to his clients. The plugin is a unique and practical tool to help his clients add contact forms and lead capture forms to their websites.

Our brief required a plugin that was easy-to-use by clients, allow users to create a form that could have any number of fields, each with their own validation rules. Additionally, a rules feature was required so that emails could be routed to particular email addresses based on how the forms were completed.

What we created for Steven…

We created a plugin called (nicknamed WP Leads) where:

• Clients can create forms with as many different fields as they wish
• Fields can be text boxes, check boxes, drop-down selections, and paragraph text boxes.
• Each of the fields can have validation information too, such as checking for length or a particular value.
• Details of the submitted form can be sent to any email address based on the values that were entered. e.g. Responses to a Sales form can be routed to the sales department email address.
• All or any subset of the submitted data can be exported as a CSV file into any spreadsheet application.
• If an incomplete form is submitted, any details that were submitted are still saved. This means that the website owner can get in touch with a customer to see if they can still help.

How Steven’s clients now benefit…

Steven’s clients can now create custom forms to capture useful information from their customers. By having flexibility in what information is captured about those customers, the needs of those customers can be addressed very early on. As the business grows, the forms can be tweaked without the need for a web developer, saving time and money.
