Hannah Illingworth

I started working in administration after leaving college in the mid-90’s, initially working as a Commercial Officer for the Ministry of Defence and then moving to the NHS where I progressed through a number of different roles including service improvement, project management, coordinating administrative support to various clinical teams, and implementation and management of some key NHS secondary care targets. Whilst I loved working in the NHS, I had to make the difficult decision to put my career on hold to support my husband, an Army Officer, as frequent moves combined with the long hours became too difficult to combine with the childcare for our three children, one of whom has additional needs.

In September 2018, with all three children finally in full-time education, I was finally able to restart my career and started my own business, HI Virtual, working as a Virtual Assistant providing support to other businesses. Having a variety of clients makes my job even more interesting and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge it brings, all the skills I gained in previous roles (not to mention the organisational skills developed from being a mum!) are definitely being put to good use once more! I began working with Dan in May 2019 and very quickly became an integral part of Customers on Tap team.

Outside of work and family duties, I am also a musician in the Army Reserves with over 25 years’ service and have played in some amazing venues including the Royal Albert Hall and supporting the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle.
